Here are a random selection of transmedial influences to consider in Reading Week:
“Kurt Vonnegut’s absurdist classic Slaughterhouse-Five introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes unstuck in time after he is abducted by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. In a plot-scrambling display of virtuosity, we follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all phases of his life, concentrating on his (and Vonnegut’s) shattering experience as an American prisoner of war who witnesses the firebombing of Dresden.”

The exhibition will explore the role of digital technology in transcending the physical and conceptual boundaries that exist between different artworks, with imagery from one work breaking free of the frame and entering the space of another. The installations also dissolve distinctions between artwork and exhibition space, and involve the viewer through interactivity.

This was my favourite talk from this years EGX Developer Sessions, Sebastien Mitton Art Director for Arkane Studios. He had some very interesting and poignant research/ workflow observations on how Arkane have approached improving and evolving the look and feel of Dishonored 2 (especially around 6 minutes in).
